Do you check out textbooks?
Do you have a copy of my textbook for class? Can I check it out?
Answer
We collect two types of textbooks: those adopted for use in public schools around the state and those required for TAMUCT courses.
The TAMUCT course textbooks are generally up-to-date, though sometimes we may not be aware of a last minute change in a professor's book choice and we are not always able to purchase the most current edition when a new edition is adopted. Due to the high demand for these resources, textbooks must remain inside the library, and may only be checked out for four hours. They are located behind the library circulation desk, and staff will retrieve these items upon request. You can look up your textbook by course number, professor, or book title on WarriorQuest.
The University Library also purchases a representative collection of state-adopted textbooks used by area schools in Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Belton, and Temple. These textbooks are housed behind the circulation desk at the University Library in Warrior Hall. The University Library owns the teacher's edition of each textbook, and may only lend them to TAMUCT curriculum and instruction students.
